did i mention...

that on saturday afternoon, while R was driving around town running errands, someone crashed into our car. R was driving down the street, near 3rd, on his side, when this woman in a pontiac pulling out of a driveway decides she wants to be in his lane too. so she rams right into the driver side. the driver side door is smashed in, the window's gone... broken into tiny little pieces. R's ok. not hurt at all. i'm amazed he didn't get hurt. and at least we can still open and close the door.

of course this would happen at the most inconvenient and busiest time. and miss pontiac doesn't have insurance. great. was nice to show up at a 20 year high school reunion in a banged up buick. but really, what worries me is parking the car on the street, no window on driver side and all...

at least no one's hurt, and the car still runs. but i'm specially looking forward to next week, when monday to friday, the car will be in the shop. and... i'll be the one to take the kids to school. and the exhibit's on. etc etc...
