What does one do when alone on a Friday night?

First, you have dinner at your pinay girlfriend's place with her visiting French inlaws, that's what. The wine was flowing, the pasta was delicious, and the conversation accentuated! Those french sure CAN cook! (I finally got the secret to perfect al dente pasta... 8-10 minutes! and all this time i've been boiling those things for 12-14! You learn something new everyday!) Merci bucks!!

Then, when full of carbs, go check out Luce at Du Nord...what a blast! Met someone who flew all the way from San Diego just to check them out! Wow, that's a true fan. It was like a best of Luce kind of show. Shorter than their other shows, but packed with all that Luce flavor that I love. I am totally digging standing next to Adam Rossi and singin' along. Sometimes he smiles back... Kilig to the bones!! They ended their set with the bittersweet "Diamond Lights". I don't know if it was the wine, the carbs, or the PMS... but the last song just brought tears to my eyes. Still, it was a swell evening.
