Allergies & Regret...
Allergies on Sunday... Coughing all night Tuesday...
Methinks it's time to see the acupuncturist. Chinese herbal medicine... take me away...

Regrets
A couple of years ago, General Public & Flock of Seagulls performed back to back at Bambuddha Lounge's New Year's Eve fete. I had a choice to make... go to that party and enjoy a night of dancing and listening to some of my favorite 80's music live and in person, or, go to another party where the music wasn't live and I didn't like the DJ. I wanted to hear the classics "Tenderness" & "I Ran". Really really wanted to. But I was the only one who wanted to go, and I didn't know about boundaries, and it was right before the months I completely lost myself & I was running on half empty but didn't know it. So I went to the other party instead... let's just say it was peer pressure, and I've regretted it. Oh how I regret it, specially when I hear any Wakeling tune.
On the upside of things, I've learned, finally learned (the long and hard way) a thing or two about the difference between peer pressure and following my bliss.
"Two dozen other stupid reasons
Why we should suffer for this
Don't bother trying to explain them
Just hold my hand while I come
To a decision on it"
*****
Tunes:
KFOG Morning Radio Jam of the Day:
"Everyday I Write the Book"
Elvis Costello
&
Mat Kearney in the studio with his guitar
"Nothing Left to Lose"
I didn't know Mat Kearney was playing at Du Nord last night. Drat.
Big Regret Jam of the Day:
"Save It For Later"
Dave Wakeling, English Beat
