Under the stars...

When you ask for help it comes... sometimes in unexpected ways.

Bruised - ego, pride, knuckles and knees...
Fury and rage under pressure over flowing...
Shock to the system, to the heart, to the mind...
I am wailing out to the universe... help me please...

Someone throws me a line.
CL calls me out of nowhere, hey I got an extra ticket to the John Legend show, wanna come?

Thank you!!!

Corinne Bailey Ray opens. She is soulful and her voice is like gold filigree... warm and hued, fragile, strong and beautiful. She sings the songs about heartbreak and pain and a heaven that ends. Oh great, just what I need.

John Legend gives a solid, suave, sensational performance. We are singing, we are grooving, we are saying yes sing it when he croons about being ordinary people, we are dancing when he does his rendition of Sly and the Family Stone's "Dance to the Music". I am thoroughly enjoying watching the back up singers. He brings Rae back on stage for the duet...wait for it... "Where Is The Love".

I am laughing, I am crying, I am mesmerized by the lights and the music, I am feeling the wave of energy of a sold out crowd.

Healing with music under the stars at the Greek Ampitheater.

Maybe sometimes, we feel afraid, but it's alright
The more you stay the same, the more they seem to change.

Don't you think it's strange?

Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.

You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.
