that time of day...
Ok, it's time.
It's that time of day, specially a wet, cold, soggy-drenched, my petunias are drowning in the flower box and I don't think the sun's coming out until next Tuesday kind of day. It's time for hot coffee in a big mug and a nice warm crispy on the outside soft and gooey on the inside fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookie. Or some delightful cup of tea and biscotti's if you prefer, or steaming hot chocolate and warm bread with cheese if you like, but it's time. I think so. Oh yes it is.
And while you're at it, take a nice book to read (the kind that will transport you to another world and fill you with a sense of wonder simply by turning the pages) and prop yourself on a big comfortable chair by a large window so you can, in between sips of the warming beverage of choice, look out once in a while and be glad you're cozy and warm inside instead of soaking and miserable outside. Yep, it's time. I think so.
And when the coffee or tea or hot chocolate is consumed, and you've read a good number of chapters, then you can transition to a nice glass of deep red, jammy with hint of roses and wood notes kind of wine. Whatever kind you prefer to drink on a water-logged early evening - zinfandels are nice I think.
Yep, it's that time of day for this kind of weather. I definitely think so.
