chemistry 101
i'm on a daily regimen of tyrosine, samE, vitamin B complex and calcium... my own little cocktail recommended by my therapist to keep the monster away. (i'm also taking the vitamin E, the multi vitamin, and the 2 baby aspirin to keep the arteries healthy.) talk about pill popping!! since the last episode with the monster, she suggested doubling the tyrosine and the samE. they are amino acids that help in the production of seratonin. you can take a lot, it won't hurt. it's good for you (if you're a depressive).
thing is, samE can also suppress your appetite. so today, i wasn't very hungry. but i felt i still had to eat, after all, i don't want to get dizzy from hunger. but not being very hungry, i wasn't motivated to go out into the cement jungle to forage for food. there was a meeting today at work, they provided coffee and bagels. so i had some bagels... and coffee. can't have bagels without coffee. and i kept having coffee. i used to drink a lot of coffee, but when i started taking the tyrosine few months ago, my desire for caffeine has greatly diminished (i read somewhere tyrosine is effective in treating some addictions).
so, i'm not depressed at all today. i'm feeling quite fine and sublime... and quite... zingy. zing, zing, ZING!!! too much caffeine, yep, fer sure! somebody help me!!! i used not to get anything done at work because i was depressed. today i can't get anything done because i can't sit still.
maybe i'll lay off the coffee for starters. oh happy day!
