cine! cine!

saw Batman on Father's Day. what a fun movie! really enjoyed it, specially realizing that, the caped crusader suffered from untreated post traumatic stress disorder, which led to adult depression!! what bruce wayne needs is a few sessions of EMDR with a good therapist. (although he did get that, in a confront your inner demons, martial arts, save the world while wearing a black hi-tech studded outfit kind of way.)

terrific cast!! i had no idea they had who they had. i'll watch liam neeson in anything. and gary oldman!! playing a young sergeant gordon (future comissioner gordon). remember him as the uber crooked cop in the professional? (i mean EVERYONE!!!!!) he's my all time favorite actor, i love how he seemed so vulnerable in this movie. and of course, morgan freeman and michael caine as alfred (not alfie this time). ken watanabe had an appearance (wish he was on longer). christian bale made an awesome batman. i certainly suspended belief for a good 2 hours. after the movie, all i could say was... again! again! AGAIN!!!

we caught Madagascar while in Oregon. in Port Orford, the movies at the savoy theater cost $6 for adults, $5 for kids. remember when that was the norm? anyway, the movie was a major disappointment. felt like one long, overdrawn sitcom (and i can't stand sitcoms). i was hoping it would be funnier, wittier. but it was just plain boring. (even isa didn't like it.) oh well. at least we didn't pay the $10.50 price of city movie houses.
