dark and obscure sightings...
some sightings out and about town the last few days...
Fernando Funk - he was playing downtown tourguide for his brother visiting from da philippines...
Bobby Banduria - the legendary man himself, i saw him taking a smoke break. he works across the street from me in the financial district. Lara Gitara nearly had a fainting spell. how i miss him and his band... sigh...
Mark Decena - local indie filmmaker, director of Sundance winner "Dopamine", fellow PTA member, he was dropping off his kid at the same birthday party my daughter was attending. i've got the biggest, hugest crush on this guy first day i laid eyes on him during one of the PTA meetings years ago(who knew these things would be hot?!) i like to think i've got this little flirting thing goin' on with him, in my mind anyway. "hey, how's it going?" he says to me. i do my best not to trip... "everything's good, thanks!" and i nearly run away, i'm so nervous. real smooth i thought. i get home and tell R, guess who i ran into today? mr. hottie in with the glasses and the bruce lee-esque haircut...
(earlier this year i ran into him during one of the international film festival parties. he sits with me, and asks, what are you doing here? just hanging out, i reply. he smiles, you just come and hang out in the VIP area of film festival parties? i just smile back and take a sip of wine, secretly glad i decided to wear my sophia loren-esque circa 1960's low cut dress. we talk some more, laugh, drink. later that night R joins us, and he teases me at home... "oh he was all over you! and you were shameless!" why yes i was!! gosh that was fun!)
and lastly, the Sith Lord himself, Darth Vader - outside Stacy's on Market street in our own galaxy, just now, promoting his latest book, "The Rise of the Dark Lord". no, i did not purchase the book, and no i did not say hello. i didn't want my trachea crushed. but i was tempted to ask, so, underneath that mask, during interstellar travel? do you find the need to moisturize?
